Welcome to the Asia-Pacific Emissions Trading Forum website. The AETF is the region's prime information service and business network dealing with domestic and international developments in greenhouse gas emissions markets.

The AETF was founded in 1998 and has grown to provide a range of services including publications, events, and networking opportunities through the AETF's Business Roundtable.

Emissions trading is increasingly seen as the policy instrument of choice wherever policy makers seek to achieve significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. International emissions trading is a key element of the Kyoto Protocol while national and regional schemes are operating or are under active consideration in the EU, Canada, Japan, NZ and in a number of US and Australian states.

Consequently, international and domestic trading issues and opportunities are of growing interest throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
